General Conditions of Sale — Interpreter Academy

Article 1: Scope of Application

These General Conditions of Sale apply to all transactions concluded through the Interpreter Academy website and its associated checkout pages.

A “customer” is any natural or legal person who purchases a product or subscription from Interpreter Academy through our secure online payment platform.

Article 1a: Age Limit

Interpreter Academy only accepts customers who are at least 18 years of age or who have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to complete the purchase.

By placing an order, the customer confirms that they are legally capable of entering into this agreement.

Article 2: Order

Any order or subscription placed through the Interpreter Academy website implies full and unreserved acceptance of these General Conditions of Sale.

Subscriptions provide access to digital educational content according to the plan selected during checkout.

Article 3: Price

Prices are displayed in Canadian dollars unless another currency is clearly indicated at checkout.

Applicable taxes may be included in or added to the displayed price, depending on the customer’s location and applicable tax requirements.

Prices may be changed at any time. However, the price applied to an order will be the price displayed and accepted by the customer at the time of purchase.

For recurring subscriptions, any future pricing changes will be communicated before they take effect where required by applicable law.

Article 4: Payment

Payment is due immediately when the order is placed and on each applicable subscription-renewal date.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe or another payment provider made available through our checkout platform. Accepted payment methods will be displayed during checkout.

Payment information is transmitted securely to the payment processor. Interpreter Academy does not directly store complete credit- or debit-card information.

Subscriptions renew automatically according to the billing period selected by the customer unless cancelled before the next renewal date.

Customers may cancel at any time and will maintain access until the end of their current paid billing period. There are no cancellation fees or hidden charges.

Article 5: Delivery

All Interpreter Academy products and services are delivered digitally. No physical products are shipped.

Following successful payment, customers will receive access to the applicable course, membership, videos, scripts, and other digital materials through their online account.

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate email address and maintaining the equipment, internet connection, and login credentials required to access the service.

Article 6: Protection of Personal Information

Interpreter Academy collects, uses, and protects personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian privacy laws.

Personal information may be collected and used for purposes including processing payments, creating and administering customer accounts, delivering purchased services, providing customer support, and sending service-related communications.

Promotional emails will only be sent where permitted. Customers may unsubscribe from promotional communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in the email.

Unsubscribing from promotional communications will not prevent customers from receiving essential account, payment, security, or service-related messages.
